Africa Empowerment Communities has an agenda!

ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE:
This is a project under the African Empowerment Communities (AFRICOM), a charity in partnership a non-partisan humanitarian registered organization in the State of California- USA, established to render services/ programs that are meant to empower and transform various communities in various aspects of life.

To empower and transform human lives through provision of social services.

ORGANIZATION’S OBJECTIVES:
Some of the objectives of African Empowerment Communities as an organization include:
1 To improve the quality of life to various groups of people with knowledge, skills training, and various methods that are meant for social transformation/ action for them to enjoy a desirable standard of living.
2 To focus on programs / services that would target for the improvement of modern scientific technological ideas and skills to the communities.
3 To promote active and harmonious participation of various groups of people in process of sustainable and integral developmental programs.
4 To raise and promote for Educational, Scientific and Cultural programs that will address the “ FOUR THIRD WORLD’S” current major challenges which include: “ Ignorance, Poverty, Diseases and Unemployment” in the region.

ORGANIZATION’S SERVICES:

1 To support and enhance a wide range of educational programs/ services that focuses on new scientific technologies, addressing workforce development and deeper commitment to school readiness and Adult Literacy Education (ALE).
2 Render services to Hunger, Poverty and Relief support.
3 Evolving social media works.
4 Minorities.

PROJECT STRATEGY:
i) Direct delivery.
ii) Capacity building.
iii) Advocacy- in order to transform attitudes and policies.

PROJECT’S GOAL:
To establish a point where opportunities for individuals create possibilities.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
1 To raise Public Libraries/ Educational Resource Centers for Educational, Scientific and Cultural programs and services that will try to address Four Third World’s major challenges which are “Ignorance, Poverty, Diseases and Unemployment, through enhancement of educational facilities to the communities.
2 To enable people have a long track of helping of helping thousands of people in meaningful and long lasting ways which will transform lives for better.
3 Establish franchised traditional and Digital Libraries synergy to solve one of the major challenges of accessing required information and ideas.

PROJECT PROGRAMS:
1 Borrowing of educational materials (Books both in English and in local Languages, Magazines, CDs’, DVDs’ etc.
2 Printing, Photocopying, Scanning and Fax services.
3 Internet Services (WI-FI).
4 Mobile Library Vehicle (MLV).
5 Adult Literacy Education (ALE).
6 Digital Collections-eBooks, e-Movies etc.
7 Features cultural programs, features films, Documentaries,
8 Concerts, Games & Sports,& Performing Arts.
9 Remedial Classes and Homework for students.
10 Research Work for students.
TARGETED BENEFICIARIES/ AUDIENCES:
Students for all levels, Youth, Teens, Politicians, Researchers, Entrepreneurs, Social Workers and the General Public at large.

WORKING SCHEDULE:

Week Days: Mondays - Fridays. From 10.00 a.m-10.00 p.m
Week-ends: Only Saturdays. From 9.00 a.m-6.00 p.m
Sundays and all Public Holidays, it will be closed.

LOCATIONS:
Being to be a franchised project within the Great Lakes Region i.e. East and Central African region, the pioneer project, will be set in the Central region (Buganda) of Uganda in the Metropolitan City of Kampala, and then after other locations will be set up after the project has successfully taken off.
