Africa has so many wonders, but the irony that it is also the seat of un-learning brings tears and sorrow to many who believe that this continent should be the eye of the development storm in the 21st Century and beyond. Why have I chosen to use that verb in the negative sense: 'un-learning' ?
Imagine this: Africa has the potential to mobilize and organize its populace to engage in activities that in turn improve on skills. The skills in question are; employable skills, inter-personal and intra-personal relations, dependability, expatriate skills, problem-solving skills and synergistic-related skills and practices. This builds the development ecosystem required to create critical skills in people destined to be developed. In not empowering a person to engage in activities that bring about competency and proficiency, one is forced to take the 'un-learning' path. There are various efforts to improve on living conditions in Africa.
Africa Empowerment Community Inc., Jjaggwe Foundation and the initiative that will culminate into the Education Resource Facility is one such effort.
Please join us as we mobilize resources to establish a resource center in Africa whose mission is to bring together minds for development.
