The Educational Resource Center

  The initial project of the African Empowered Communities organization, will be the Educational Resource Center.

 The ERC will create 25,000 square feet of library, office, meeting, training and retail space. A onestop community services center, the ERC will offer a variety of services-including a library, vocational and life-skills training, health care and self-employment opportunities-under one roof.

 The ERC should become East Africa's premiere meeting and training facility; the facility will also offer class A office space, for firms relocating to East Africa. The ERC package pf services, will help unleash the economic potential of individuals and communities, in East Africa, and empower them take control of their economic and social destinies.

 Through partnerships with community, corporate and government organizations, ERC will offer the following vocational training classes including:

 Graphic Design & Animation

 Hotel Catering and Management
 Information Technology
 Plumbing and Electricity

 Welding

 The activities of the ERC will help reduce  poverty, dependency, chronic unemployment and under-employment, in East Africa; they will also transform and empower individuals and communities, to participate as workers and entrepreneurs, in the global economy.
