Today more than ever, the African Child must be prepared to make friends with the American, Canadian, European, Japanese, Australian and Chinese child. The African child must be skilled, employable, flexible, productive and have a high self esteem. But, this may only be possible if the African parent is committed to making this child educated. The African leader and parent or benefactor must be willing to not only continue with training the African artistic performances, ceremonies, games, festivals, dancing, singing and drawing, but train the African child in infotech skills that put her/him in line with other children elsewhere. There are organizations world-wide with well-wishing missions and persons involved in making sure this happens. African country governments need to be supported to create better environments for investment. NGO's can only come in when an investment environment is conducive. Communities in Africa should be encouraged to look at the education of their children as a priority. Jjaggwe Foundation's Education Resource Center is one of those organizations that are ready to make these changes in Africa.
We are not ashamed to say we have researched about Africa and seen what others also do for their communities and children. Africans are hard working people who have lived long on a very unforgiving continent. Where the climate can change and affect livestock and crop production. But, there is hope now. The times for complaining are long gone. We can make friends with those willing to help us. The time is now.

We are set to send over 25 million text books to Africa by 2023. Help us establish resource centers in Africa. We need to provide space for reading, discussion, intellectual discourse and a culture of reading in Africa. Reading improves competency, employability and dependability of a person. Make the African child so.
